Affordable Healthcare for Every American

Affordable Healthcare Is a Human Right.

Civil Rights Attorney and Business Litigator

Over the past 12 years, Coleman has litigated more than 200 cases in federal, state, and administrative courts as a lead attorney licensed to practice law in California, Florida, Georgia, and New York. He is also a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. As an attorney, one of Coleman’s core values has always been to provide valuable pro bono legal service, focusing on several areas of federal law.

As a small business owner and Managing partner of Watson LLP, Coleman specialized in federal appeals, patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, as well as intellectual property transactions, civil rights, government investigations, and qui tam claims. He has litigated cases before the United States Supreme Court, two United States Circuit Courts, sixteen United States District Courts, and at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Husband and Dad

Coleman and his wife Jessica have been married since 2009. They live in Orlando with their two children, Oscar and Violet, and their dog Ollie.

Stroke Survivor

Coleman survived a sudden cryptogenic stroke on February 12, 2020.

Aphasia and Disability Activist

Now, Coleman raises awareness for survivors of stroke and brain injuries whose lives were changed as a result of their healthcare crisis. Many of these survivors live with aphasia, a speech-language impairment. Aphasia does not affect a person’s intelligence. Millions of people in the U.S. live with aphasia, including Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, actor Sharon Stone, and General Michael Hayden.

Experienced and Electable

Civil Rights and Business Experience

Coleman created the Civil Pro Se Project to combat the issue of clients not having a right to an attorney in civil cases. Over a six-year period, he volunteered more than 5,000 hours in the first pro bono case that implicated federal prisoner’s rights through the Eighth Amendment’s guarantee to prohibit cruel and unusual punishments.

Ready to Organize, Fundraise and Win

For more than a decade, Coleman has been leading in courtrooms and in Florida communities. He addresses a crucial role in the community helping to represent clients who need it most. He is actively engaged in his community and rallying in support of his campaign.

A Story to Inspire Every Floridian

Coleman is not merely a good lawyer, he is among the best in the United States. His stroke temporarily deprived him of his speech, but Coleman is taking it back. Coleman is an ambitious, dedicated, and experienced federal attorney who wants to change healthcare for all Floridians and, in turn, for all Americans. As an advocate for people living with disabilities, Coleman will work to make healthcare a basic human right and continue to raise awareness for every American whose needs must be met.
